Team Associated is pleased to announce the return of multi-time National Champion Mike Blackstock to its Worldwide Race Team. After a 2+ year hiatus from the Team, Mike returns to join fellow Team Associated onroad teammates, including Juho Levanen, Keven Hebert, Rick Hohwart, and Craig Drescher.

In 1/10 Touring Car, Mike will be utilizing the newly released Factory Team TC5F and TC5R. These kits are the evolution of the Radio Control Car Action Reader’s Choice: Touring Car of the Year, the TC5. This platform has already had success from the local club level to the "A" main at the World Championships. Additionally, Mike will be utilizing the brand-new 12R5 1/12 scale pan car and the 10R5 in the newest onroad class, 1/10 World GT.

With over ten National Championships to his credit and multiple "A" main finishes at the IFMAR World Championships, many of them with Team Associated vehicles, Mike is looking to put his new Associated vehicles on the podium at the upcoming International Indoor Championships in August.

Based out of Cleveland, Ohio, Mike will be on hand at local- and national-level events to help Team Associated customers tune and service their vehicles. Additionally, Mike will participate in many of the online forums, including the AE forums, answering questions related to Team Associated products. Welcome back, Mike!

Presented by "The Dirt", RCX Supercoss featured 15 of the best drivers in the world battling it out on the floor of the Pomona Fairplex for $500 cash. Three heats that transferred the top two from each heat saw Cody King and Adam Drake transfer from Heat #1, Ryan Cavalieri and Gary Guest from Heat #2, and from Heat #3, Ryan Maifield and Mike Truhe.

After a few jump starts, the main event got underway, the field separated, and some questionable driving shuffled some drivers to the front and some to the back. With a two-second lead and about two minutes remaining, Mike Truhe's batteries in his transmitter died and Ryan Cavalieri took over the lead with his RC8. Cruising to the win, Cavalieri pulled away from Drake to repeat as RCX Supercross Buggy Champion and become $500 richer.

Team Associated and CML Distribution are proud to announce that European Junior Champion Elliott Boots has signed to race in 2008.

Elliott has a longstanding association with CML, a distributor of Team Associated and other R/C products in England, and this is an extension of that relationship.

Elliott arrived at CML today to sign his contract and said, "I cant wait to get racing the RC8. I have seen Neil Cragg take the title this year and knew I had to get my hands on one!"

We welcome Elliott and look forward to a successful 2008.

Lake Forest, CA—2004 ROAR 1/8 National Champion and IFMAR World Championship "A" Main finalist Jason Ashton has joined with Team Associated to campaign the Factory Team RC8 on the U.S. National and International racing circuit.

Ashton brings a balance of experience and desire to the already lethal force that is the Associated 1/8 Racing Team. Together with the knowledge of long-time friend and now-reunited teammate Richard Saxton, Ashton will lend his R/C education of 21 years to help Associated customers and teammates tune their RC8s at events across the world.

When asked why Ashton found racing for Team Associated so appealing he had this to say: "When I analyzed all the teams, vehicles, and companies, Team Associated continued to rise to the top. I’m racing for what I feel is the complete package. I am excited to have their support and to be a part of their Team."

Look for Ashton to debut his RC8 at the upcoming IFMAR World Championships Warm-Up at The Farm2 in late October and then on to the Nitro Pit for the Nitrocross Invitational.

With three of the last four ROAR National Champions on the Team, Associated and the RC8 are in line to contest for the win anytime they fire up the engines.
