putting together plastic diffs. As you tighten the hex screw the plastic tends to strip
Putting the parts together is easy... it's the setup that can be tricky. Time, patience, follow the manufacturer's recommendations to start with, and try to work with others who have the same vehicle to see what has been working for them.
Building shocks. The shocks require attention to detail because it's one of the biggest factors that affect handling. Making the shocks equal in length and rebound is time consuming but very rewarding in the end.
It is very time consuming so just have patience and make sure not to mix up the parts.
Opening the package!
The hardest part for me is not to tune proper apportion in my engine needle valve. I bring to Dandy at the shop and he sets me straight. He tunes my trx 3.3 to 1 turn out. FAST!!!! I look to those who have gone before me for the things which I want to know.
not to overtighten the screws and to make sure everything works properly.
Patience and make sure the parts and equipment your putting in will actually work with your car.
i think it is getting the screws in the right spot. and also the electronics my advice, is if you don't get something ask a professional.
Putting the screws in the right places. Don't put the long ones where the short ones go.
I love kits. but sometimes my fingers go all willy nilly on me. i have to get my brother to build them right for me otherwise i become up with this wiseguy and he smacks me in the face. kits are to rocks, thanks team AE for the ability to go kits form!
I love kits because i can get Seth to help me build them all, since he has like 2 or 3 of them in his closet unbuilt in hobbytown bags. My advice is to get seth to help you build your kit, or get him to give you a hobtown bag to place it in you closet.
For the kit it has to all do with ability. How cant not i love when i configurationing all the parts, low and behold my nut is loose. I would put advisory in affect to for a stormy day after i loose nut and bolt!
Losing small things like E-Clips. The manufacturer needs to include some extra small pieces
The hard part of for the build is not to let loose the screws on the floor,. Once I put from my kit a 2.7m set screw on the table and when i swipe it from al the way up under my couch!! from across the room. i need am magnet for my parts from he floor!
