Comments: This is question is not about ride height. On the front end of either vehicle, an option is given to either have the front axles up, middle, or down. By changing the axle height what will that do?

By raising or lowering the ride height on one end of the car, it changes the steering characteristics, but more importantly, the roll center will also be lowered, making the end of the car roll deeper when the car corners, making it sit lower and thus having more grip.

Comments: For this new battery coming out I see that it will come with a charging harness. Can you post pics of this on your site? reason I ask is that I have seen another battery having a harness included, but its a separate balancer setup, so you can't directly balance and charge at the same time as my charger does.

You can set up a balancer made by Astro to balance and charge at the same time. Picture.

By moving the front axle up or down, how will the vehicles react?

It would be best to ask Novak…since I do not see the 4300 motor on their spec sheet on their web site. I not sure of what the 4300 motor is equal to, be sure to tell them what battery you are running with it, Lipo, NiMh.

Comments: Could you convey further info regarding the antenna mounting position being used by the team of late? I notice the speedo is being placed next to the motor and the receiver in front of the motor. I am sure this is better for weight distribution?? My question is how is the antenna mount being positioned? Any info in this regard would be appreciated.

You can buy an aftermarket antenna holder and install it in the hole that is used for the clear under tray. That way it will be right next to the receiver.

You will need to start with a pinion in the area of 35 teeth.

Comments:how come when I plug in my battery i only have steering but when I turn it off and switch the wires on the receiver and turn the car back on I have only power to the motor the model goes by its self at full speed what could be wrong?

I think you said it yourself. The wires going to the receiver need to be in a certain sequence (depending on the radio). By you switching them you are messing the signal up. You need to consult the manual to find the correct sequence - usually it is signal (white), positive (red), and then negative (black) from center to the outer edge.

More than likely they are running 64 pitch gears, which have more teeth, but in a small package.

Electric kit referenced: RC18T/MT
Comments: On Page 11 of the RC18MT manual there is the "18T/MT gear chart". Why is there a lage difference between the recommended pinion in the "370 - Large Track" row, when comparing the "60t Spur" and the "MT 60t Spur"? 13t pinion vs 10t pinion is a large 30% difference in gear ratio! Is it just because the MT tires/wheels are that much heavier and of a larger diameter than the T tires/wheels?

Yes, the larger diameter and heavier weight play a big roll in gear ratio.

Comments:My chassis broke and I'm looking to replace it. Dont know which is better Carbon or Composite?

If you are trying to get your vehicle as light as possible, need better responsiveness (important to an experienced racer), and have good control of the T4 (not crashing), then carbon is usually recommended. If you still crash a bit, the composite will be helpful, because it has more flexibility and will give in a crash.

Comments: front wheel nut - LHS
Hi,

I absolutely love my B44, but I'm getting annoyed with a recurring issue.

on tracks that require hard use of the brakes, the LHS wheel nut frequently loosens itself, often to the point of coming off completely, followed shortly by the wheel.

I've tried LOSI nuts, and the problem persists.

checking the nut is part of my pre-run checklist, and it is always 100% tight before a race.

this has cost me 4 non finishes!

We will send you new front axles, nuts, and crush tubes.

Please send us your name and address and description of the problem, and we will get the new replacement parts sent to you.

The speed is up to you. Faster servos make the car feel twitchy and loose while slow servos seem not to have quick enough response. Look for a servo in the .10-.15 sec range and torque of at least 60oz. inches.

We continue to sell many parts for discontinued models. If interest wanes in our 1:18 models which results in a discontinuation, we’ll probably continue to sell parts for it for a while. This is how we’ve worked in the past, and I assume we’ll keep doing so. I don’t know of any plans to discontinue any 1:18 model.

Comments: Recently I have been having a problem with my new LRP AI super reverse. The faile safe keeps going off for no apparent reason. I have trouble shot the problem according to the user guide to no prevail. The light flashes repeatedly then goes to normal solid green, then if I give it throttle the light works as the user guide says, light green for partial and no light for full throttle. However the motor is receiving no power at this point. Now if I reset it by turning the switch off and on again the car well work normally for about 5 seconds before the fail safe goes off again. The same problem then repeats its self. I have checked to make sure the the receiver antenna is not touching any other wire. I can still steer the car, so the receiver is working.

Thanks for your time

Aaron, the speed control appears to be defective. You will need to send it to the address on the home page for warranty service (if purchased in the last 120 days) or repair. Please include all your contact information when you send it in.

Comments: How can I lower the ride height without affecting the droop measurement?

You set your ride height and then reset your droop settings.

Electric kit referenced: Which Brushless kit to get
Comments: I have a TC3 and want to set it up with a brushless kit and am wondering what you would recommend I am using 3600 nimph 6 cell batteries and the car is currently set up with a novak cyclone tc speed control and a team checkpoint 19 turn motor so I am wondering where I should start with the brushless system there are so many different options for motors I don't know where to start. I want to go with one of the lrp systems though because they seem to be really good. A few other notes if this helps I run the car exclusively on carpet with both foam and rubber tires but am looking at doing some outdoor racing on asphalt as well so I would like to get a system that will work in both track conditions any help would be very much appreciated Thank You for Your Time

Rick

Do you want something faster than the 19-turn motor? If so, how much faster do you want it?*********************************

Comments: hi there do the b4 rims fit the b3?

They will as long as you have a 3/16” rear axle. The offset may be a little different but that should not be a problem.
